I am a woman searching for my inner goddess and using fabrics, words and photography as my road map. I find great comfort and order in my creative efforts and hope that in sharing them you find a peace also. Welcome and Be Blessed!

Count Your Blessings

OK, I am still playing and came across these photos to cheer up oldest daughter who discovered that really pissed off cats might piss on things while looking you in the eye. Funny how they go from sweet little balls of fluff to huge attitudes that cough up hairballs. I decided to post these to make her feel better. These are of my other daughter Jessica who graced our lives for 9 1/2 years. I will miss her greatly tomorrow but maybe not for reasons that are obvious. It seems that every Thanksgiving she would be sick and I would have to stay home from the family dinner. Since it was held just up the hill from me someone, usually my good friend, would dutifully bring me down a heaping plate of food and I would sit and enjoy with her and Jess while avoiding the famdamly up the hill. Now I am rather stuck with attending and playing nice. I am so very thankful for Jess and the memories and laughs and these photos make her so near.

Have a very blessed Thanksgiving. Remember that we live in the land of the free and the brave and that this freedom comes at a great cost. If you are sitting at a table tomorrow feasting on the good life be thankful that there is a soldier oversees doing his or her damnedest to maintain that freedom not just for his family but for yours also.

Red Queen's Mission Statement

I believe that things can always be cured with a hug and a cup of tea, fixed with either a needle and thread, duct tape, WD40 or coke, and that prayer works every time. I take in strays whether in animal or childlike form. I have been mother to many for a time and this is my way of keeping up with some of those straying children that I miss. I appreciate shock value and use it often to remind people that the world is round and colorful and we are not all living in square brown cardboard boxes with little holes cut in for windows. Look for the warm fuzzies- God delivers them up fresh every day just to say- I think you are pretty darned special- so special that I have your picture up on my fridge for life and I am sending you a hug to remind you that you matter to me.
