I am a woman searching for my inner goddess and using fabrics, words and photography as my road map. I find great comfort and order in my creative efforts and hope that in sharing them you find a peace also. Welcome and Be Blessed!

Short Thursday-Fast Life

Today is a very hurry up kinda of a day. I slept in because sleep will be at a premium later. We are leaving for Idaho at 3 am tomorrow morning.
1. We will drive for 18 hours approx. and then stop to sleep for about 8 at some motel- we are hoping to make it to Mitchell S.D. This is tough when there are just two of us.
2. We will get up and do the rest of them until we arrive at our ranch.
3 Our ranch is called Moose Run Ranch- we do have moose wander through. They will walk through the the horse corral instead of going over it.
4. I know where every Cracker Barrel is on our route. Sometimes we have breakfast and dinner there- different states but same day.
5.The trailer is jammed with furniture this trip- We didnt have to haul out a quad.
6. This trip is all about hunting elk- I must remember that when I get whiny that I have no time for myself.
7. Part of the time I will be cooking and taking care of 4 hunters (1 hubby, 1 Dad, and 2 bros in law), then my daughter and a grandson will arrive and a couple days later a friend of my daughters. Add to this any strays that smell the homestyle cooking and invite themselves.
8. I WILL make it to the quilt stores and hope to have some time to takes some lessons while there- can you say crockpot? Still looking for yummy mountain man style recipes.
And now some pictures from the new camera- boy is this gonna be the fun part of my trip or what- learning to use this puppy!!!!!!!!! Remember as always if you click on them they get bigger.

Red Queen's Mission Statement

I believe that things can always be cured with a hug and a cup of tea, fixed with either a needle and thread, duct tape, WD40 or coke, and that prayer works every time. I take in strays whether in animal or childlike form. I have been mother to many for a time and this is my way of keeping up with some of those straying children that I miss. I appreciate shock value and use it often to remind people that the world is round and colorful and we are not all living in square brown cardboard boxes with little holes cut in for windows. Look for the warm fuzzies- God delivers them up fresh every day just to say- I think you are pretty darned special- so special that I have your picture up on my fridge for life and I am sending you a hug to remind you that you matter to me.
