I am a woman searching for my inner goddess and using fabrics, words and photography as my road map. I find great comfort and order in my creative efforts and hope that in sharing them you find a peace also. Welcome and Be Blessed!

I have sent you a package. A very very large package wrapped in silver and gold and tied with a big purple bow. What, you didn't find it in your mail box, you didn't see it under your tree? Look within. I sent it straight to your heart from mine.  Tear off the wrapping and pull up the lid on the box- yes, lots and lots of purple and red tissue paper. Did you find your gift? You didn't see anything but paper, lots of colored paper. Hold out your hands and feel the warmth beginning to touch them, maybe there was something there as your hands are getting warmer and your heart is feeling happier. I have filled your box with love and gratitude- enough to carry you throughout the whole year. It is not something you see but something you feel. Ah, did you find it now? Good. Now, remember each morning to put it on like an invisible sweater (think Mr. Rodgers) and then go forth through you day wearing my love and gratitude and I bet you will discover that it is truly a gift that keeps giving as others draw near to you not seeing your invisible Mr. Rodgers like sweater knit with love and gratitude but they want what you have got. Go ahead and share it- I promise this invisible Mr. Rodgers sweater will not ravel or wear out. I cherish you my readers and I am so thankful for your friendship. Merry Christmas!

The photos were all taken at my favorite antique and tea shop near me- Into Antiques- Ellwood City, PA . Pat, the owner is a real sweetie and if you are ever in the area this is a fun place to visit.

Red Queen's Mission Statement

I believe that things can always be cured with a hug and a cup of tea, fixed with either a needle and thread, duct tape, WD40 or coke, and that prayer works every time. I take in strays whether in animal or childlike form. I have been mother to many for a time and this is my way of keeping up with some of those straying children that I miss. I appreciate shock value and use it often to remind people that the world is round and colorful and we are not all living in square brown cardboard boxes with little holes cut in for windows. Look for the warm fuzzies- God delivers them up fresh every day just to say- I think you are pretty darned special- so special that I have your picture up on my fridge for life and I am sending you a hug to remind you that you matter to me.
