Met the Challenge
I belong to the Tri-county Quilters Guild in Portersville, Pa. Our presidents challenge this year was to make a quilt no larger the 36 inches using only black, white, shades of gray and a bit of one other color. Hmmm, what to do??? The daughter and I came up with a couple great ideas. How blessed I am to have a quilting muse for a daughter!!! Our ideas are still floating around in the brain and may come out one day but in the end my heart took over and I created a bit of closure.
My precious cat Maxie Rose went to Idaho with us and sadly she never didn't get to come home. This was the reason for the new puppy- no more cats going to Idaho to be lunch for some wandering hungry animal. Maxie is the shades of gray and her green eyes which do not show well in this photo are the other bit of color.
We will be headed back to Idaho for the annual October elk hunt in a couple weeks and I have a big stack of quilts just waiting to dance with Maxine my APQS longarm quilt machine. I am so ready to dance. Think I might have to get started quilting today!
