I am a woman searching for my inner goddess and using fabrics, words and photography as my road map. I find great comfort and order in my creative efforts and hope that in sharing them you find a peace also. Welcome and Be Blessed!

From My House to Yours

I am home and have finished another quilt. I call this one From My House to Yours.  This one was made for a family friend who just had a tumor  the size of an orange removed from his brain. He is now doing the chemo and radiation.

The back. I am known to complain about having to piece fabric together for a backing. I was challenged to do something better on my next quilt and so we will just call this one huge label  and I will still be able to complain.

Now it is time to look at my quilt list and figure out what is next. I am back up to 4 wedding quilts- two are looking to become 1st anniversary quilts. I have a baby quilt to make, a graduation quilt to finish and two others that are in pieces waiting for me to finish them. Then maybe if nothing else shows up I can work on a quilt for me. Oh yeah, and the sister found me a for money quilt if I am willing to take it on.

Add to this the fact that I have just signed up for an online Photoshop class and well, just know I am gonna be in creative heaven for a while. Life is good!!!

Red Queen's Mission Statement

I believe that things can always be cured with a hug and a cup of tea, fixed with either a needle and thread, duct tape, WD40 or coke, and that prayer works every time. I take in strays whether in animal or childlike form. I have been mother to many for a time and this is my way of keeping up with some of those straying children that I miss. I appreciate shock value and use it often to remind people that the world is round and colorful and we are not all living in square brown cardboard boxes with little holes cut in for windows. Look for the warm fuzzies- God delivers them up fresh every day just to say- I think you are pretty darned special- so special that I have your picture up on my fridge for life and I am sending you a hug to remind you that you matter to me.
