Walking in Winter
Today was a good day for a walk to the mailbox so I tied on the shoes and took off. I did not go the direct route to the mailbox this afternoon. Nope, instead I took a very long detour which took me through the woods, over fallen trees, under bendy down branches, crunching on frozen ground, disturbing crows who must be looking for just the right trees for their nests. I did kick out a big bunny but no deer today. I found where the turkeys are sleeping at night or atleast did once cause they left some of their ruffles behind. I find it much more difficult to find things to photograph this time of year but I did take the camera along and so I can share with you some of what caught my eye today. Sorry that I cant add the sounds and the smells. Ok, not a lot of smells as it was still cool enough to make the nose drippy. Lets go for a walk- you wont even have to lace up shoes.
