I am a woman searching for my inner goddess and using fabrics, words and photography as my road map. I find great comfort and order in my creative efforts and hope that in sharing them you find a peace also. Welcome and Be Blessed!

Seeking the Gift

"And this will be a sign for you [by which you will recoognize Him} you will find [after searching] a Baby wrapped in swaddling clothes and lying in a manger." Luke 2:12 (Amplified)

Each Christmas I must search the family Christmas tree for a gift from my husband. Our artifical tree is large and absolutely filled with treasured ornaments, then threaded with gold garlands and carefully placed gold tinsel. It glitters and shines from every angle. Somewhere among all this eye candy is a gift, carefully hidden. Sometimes it takes days and many clues to find my gift but then I never know what I am looking for until I find it.

The shepards were given a clue or sign, then they had to go on a search for the most amazing, most thoughtful gift on that first Christmas. They were told how to recognize this gift, "It will be a baby wrapped in swaddling clothes and lying in a manger" but they still had to search it out. Even the wise men traveled a very long distance, following a star, to find the one that though not hiding, had to be sought out. Jesus does not just appear before us but we must actively seek him.

Have you received the gift of Jesus in your life yet? It will take some searching but he is still waiting to show you why he is the most cherished gift you will ever receive. Yes, wise men seek him still.

Red Queen's Mission Statement

I believe that things can always be cured with a hug and a cup of tea, fixed with either a needle and thread, duct tape, WD40 or coke, and that prayer works every time. I take in strays whether in animal or childlike form. I have been mother to many for a time and this is my way of keeping up with some of those straying children that I miss. I appreciate shock value and use it often to remind people that the world is round and colorful and we are not all living in square brown cardboard boxes with little holes cut in for windows. Look for the warm fuzzies- God delivers them up fresh every day just to say- I think you are pretty darned special- so special that I have your picture up on my fridge for life and I am sending you a hug to remind you that you matter to me.
