I am a woman searching for my inner goddess and using fabrics, words and photography as my road map. I find great comfort and order in my creative efforts and hope that in sharing them you find a peace also. Welcome and Be Blessed!

Where it all happened Posted by Picasa

Nope that wasnt really true either. This is our dock in Stuart FL which was hit by 2 major hurricanes last year. The dock is over 30o feet long and there were no boards left after Jeanne did her thing. It has now been partically rebuilt but not totally finished on either end. I was actually fighting with the lawnmower over who should cut the knee high grass and it almost won as it pushed me backwards and I fell into a hole like the one you see in the forefront of the picture. First instinct when falling backwards it to hang on to whatever you have in hands reach- I warn you that running lawn mowers are not a good thing to hang on to but fortunately I heard the Lord clearly that day and He said "let go Stupid"- yes, He does actually call me stupid sometimes! I let go just as I was catching the lawnmower with my legs and so I only have a backside shot to show off and not a ton of stitches or a peg leg. Here I must imput the fact that when it was suggested that perhaps I would want to tie the safety devises together so the mower would keep running I thought hunting down a piece of rope was just too darned much work. Must been all that Salva Vida I was drinking for my blogging buds!!! Thank God for each of you. May you be as blessed as I am feeling just not as sore.

Red Queen's Mission Statement

I believe that things can always be cured with a hug and a cup of tea, fixed with either a needle and thread, duct tape, WD40 or coke, and that prayer works every time. I take in strays whether in animal or childlike form. I have been mother to many for a time and this is my way of keeping up with some of those straying children that I miss. I appreciate shock value and use it often to remind people that the world is round and colorful and we are not all living in square brown cardboard boxes with little holes cut in for windows. Look for the warm fuzzies- God delivers them up fresh every day just to say- I think you are pretty darned special- so special that I have your picture up on my fridge for life and I am sending you a hug to remind you that you matter to me.
